Night in the School - Episode 2

I opened my mouth wide with surprise as I saw an amazingly, huge machine! And on top of the machine, a piece of glowing rock was levitating! "Wow! There must be some magic at work! I must tell someone about it!" I thought to myself, turning towards the door, and thought "There must be a telephone somewhere in this school! I must send an S.O.S!" I ran towards the door and bumped myself onto something. That something lifted me up by its furry paws and growled. It was a bear! Suddenly, a doctor-like man entered the classroom, holding a remote control! "You interrupted me in my experiment and now I must exterminate you!" the man roared.

"Oh no, you are definitely not going to exterminate me because I am going to exterminate you!" I replied, with a smirk on my face. With a "horse-kicking kick", I kicked, struggled and landed a "kung fu kick" on him as I flew down out of the bear's paws. With a "karate chop", I made the bear fell flat along the corridor. Grabbing the remote-control in my hand, I tried and figured out what I should do.

Ending 1

I decided to press the "Do not press" button. Hopefully, the man would get killed and everything would end perfectly! As I pressed the button, a ticking mechanic sound said, "Self-destruct activated. Blowing up in 5...4...3...2...1 BOOM!" The countdown ended as the machine blew up, destroying the whole school. The machine was so powerful that it also killed thousand who were outside of the school...


Ending 2

I decided to press the "B mode" button and most likely, the "B" would mean "best" then the man will get arrested and I will get home safely! As I pressed the button, a ticking mechanic sound said, "berserk-mode activated...Gathering energy....SPARK PLUGS TOO HOT..." As the whole machine was on flames, it blew up, destroying the whole school.....


Ending 3

I decided to press the "temp. off" button. Another mechanic ticking sound announced "Machine shutting down.....Machine will operate again in ten minutes...." I gasped in horror. "What! Only ten minutes?!" I shouted. The stone which levitating above the machine stopped its levitation and fell onto the ground with a loud crash. Peering out into the corridor, I realised that all of the objects walking around the school went back to normal, including the bear which was actually just a piece of drawing of a bear!

Just then, Mrs Cheong appeared! "Wei Sheng, what are you doing in school at midnight? I thought you had already went home!" Mrs Cheong said. I replied "There's no time to waste! We must contact the police immediately!" I exclaimed. Mrs Cheong scratched her head, puzzled, and said "What are you talking about?". I told her that there was a machine in the 5G classroom. Though she did not believe me, I convinced her to evacuate from the school and call for the police.

"ONLY 6 MINUTES.ONLY 6 MINUTES...." the remote control's voice rushed to call the police in a jiffy. When the police arrived, I led them up to the room where the man laid unconscious. "That is Professer Bart! He is the master criminal ever in the history of Science! He stole a meteorite from the National Museum of Science last week. That meteorite has the ability to make non-living things come alive! He must be planning to use it for an experiment in your school and yet you found him. Brilliant work! Bravo!" the policeman thanked me profusely and expressed their gratitude by rewarding me with ten thousand dollars. As Professer Bart was brought away by the police, handcuffed, he hollered "I will be back!"

The next day, the security guard came back to school and apologised to me for locking me up. However, I thanked the police as I received the ten thousand dollars cheque just for being locked up!I started planning what I would buy with all those money. At the same time, I wondered. What adventures will I get myself into next time? Who knows!
