Primary 5 Camp 2009 - Camp Gusto!

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Jurong Primary School will be organising the annual Primary 5 Camp during the upcoming June holidays.

Objectives
1. To inculcate teamwork and confidence-building through challenges and encouragement from teachers and fellow schoolmates.
2. To enhance unity and team spirit among pupils and teachers.
3. To reinforce the Olympic values - Friendship, Excellence and Respect

We strongly encourage your child to attend the P5 Camp. The details are as follows:

Date and Day : 24th to 26th June, Wednesday to Friday
Reporting Time : 7.00am on Wednesday 24th June in JPS Hall.
Please come attired in JPS PE T-shirt and track pants (black or dark blue only) with school/track shoes.
Dismissal Time : 11.00am on Friday 26th June at Jurong Primary School
Duration: 3 days 2 nights
Fee : $ 25 (inclusive of camp T-shirt)
Payment Mode : Payable by Edusave* or Cash
*Edusave fund is for Singaporeans only. The school is subsiding $10 for each pupil's camp expenses. However, if your child has signed up for the camp and is absent without a valid reason (medical leave certification), you will have to reimburse the school $10 for the subsidy.
All application forms and the Edusave form/cash must be submitted by 5th May, Tuesday to:
-Form teachers : Application form and Edusave Form
-Teacher Aides : Application form and Cash (during recess time at the canteen)

Please note the following:
*There will be no refund once payment is made as arrangements for food, transport, admission fees, and activites would have been made.
*All JPS pupils are encouraged to attend at least one camp in their six years of studies in the school. This P5 camp is the targeted one. Pupils who are not able to attend the camp must submit a letter of excuse from their parents to respective form teacher.
*Pupils who are not attending the camp will have to pay for the T-shirt at the same time as the others. The T-shirt will be worn by all P5 pupils attending the National Day NE Show in July.
*Please ensure that your child has breakfast before reporting for the camp.
*Pupils on the School's Financial Assistance Scheme need not pay any fees. However, if they are absent without a valid reason, they will have to reimburse the school the full amount of $25.

All parents are cordially invited to the P5 Campfire from 7.45pm to 9.00pm on Thursday, 25/06/09.
